Billboard Art Project

These are the five paintings for The Billboard Art Project. Basically, this non-profit has gotten permission to use digital billboards in variously locations across the US for a 24 hour period to show artwork instead of advertising. I’ve always liked the notion of having art out in public—out of galleries and museums, accessible to all. The work is displayed for 6 seconds and rotates with many other artists’ work over the 24 hour period. It will be shown on Dec. 2 in San Bernardino. “Meek” artwork for No Bones for Halftones Show

This was the 2nd year for this screening event, with participants bring items for free silk screening of 12 original designs by local artists over the course of one evening. “Meek” was screened with dijon yellow ink.
